Marcia Rae Green, 87, of Boise, Idaho passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2023. Marcia was born November 13, 1935, in Boise, Idaho to James Venson and Bessie Pearl (Garlock) Vitley.
She married Vernon Ray Green on August 5, 1961, in Mountain Home, Idaho.
Marcia lived a fulfilling life as a stay-at-home mom and wife, who loved bingo, crafting and her flowers. She loved spending time with family and friends while enjoying a good outdoor barbeque.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Green; sons, Jeff Whitaker, Robert Whitaker (Sherry), Brian Green, Kelly Green, and brother Joe Vitley. Marcia is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Jim; three sisters, Josephine Coates, Mary Watts and Pearl Miller; three brothers, Ed Vitley, Junior Vitley and Tony Vitley; daughter-in-law Marci Whitaker and son Rick Whitaker.
A celebration of life will be held September 10th from 4pm – 8pm at Cassia Park, 4600 W. Camas St. in Boise.
