Louise was born in Yuma, AZ to Raymond L. and Cleta F. (Fiebiger) Holt on October 2, 1945, and died December 4, 2023 in Boise, ID. As a tiny tot, they moved to Boise, ID and a sister, Eileen joined the family. The two of them were dressed as twins and were inseparable spending their formative years in a huge apartment house on the east side of town. Dad spotted a new home being built just off of Storey Street, which was later named Curtis Road. They moved and soon brother Michael and sister Evelyn completed the family.
Louise attended St. Mary’s Parochial Grade School and West Jr. High and graduated from Borah High in 1964. She earned an associate degree from Boise College and was a member of the Valkyries. She studied commercial art and had a major writeup in the Idaho Statesman for her pencil art. She joined Mountain Bell as an operator, making her way to a management position in engineering. She retired after 25 years of service.
Louise was an avid bicyclist, golfer, soft ball player, bowler, and tennis player. At 28, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and fought a battle with that disease for 50 years. She did so with grace and dignity. Louise loved cars and shared this interest with her nephew Scott. She even configured her last car with hand controls.
Louise had a special love for cats, especially Rieley and her tamed Gambel’s quail, Buffy. She had a quick wit and a zeal for life. Louise was also a proud member of the Boise Chapter-Dining for Women.
Louise is survived by her sister Eileen Cirillo (Michael Squier), brother Michael Holt (Joni), nephew Scott Squier (Don Curtis Jr.) of Boise, ID and niece Stephanie Parker (Kris) of Ocean Springs, MS.
Louise was preceded in death by her father and mother, Raymond L. and Cleta F. Holt, sister Evelyn (EV) Loretta Sherod, brother-in-law John M. Sherod, brother-in-law Robert F. Cirillo.
