Loretta Graybeal lived a rich and full life having learned the secret of simple contentment with a grateful heart. She was born in Washington and called five other western states “home”. As a working mother, her most favorite job outside of the home were those where she interacted with others. Loretta loved people and found great joy in sharing life with everyone – family, close friends, friends, acquaintances and, yes, even relative strangers. She had a knack for connection and daily lived out her motto of “Be kinder than necessary, value people”. Many were blessed by her generous spirit receiving a “happy day surprise” of hand-crafted dish towels. Giving to others warmed her heart.
Loretta’s faith in Jesus was very strong and she never doubted the goodness of God in all things. Her life was marked by love, which spanned the spectrum of people, nature, animals to laughter, hugs, TCBY and a good scrabble game. She found contentment in choosing to love the things she had.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn, and her son/daughter-in-law Ed and Michelle and her grandchildren Carly, Stephen and Justin.
She will be greatly missed but the essence of who she was and how she chose to live life will live on in our hearts and prayerfully in the hearts of others.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Idaho Human Society in Loretta’s memory.
