Lois Beers, age 93, passed away on January 16, 2026, in Boise, Idaho. Lois was born on February 25, 1932, on the family farm in Grace, Idaho, to Brigham Willard and Emily Harris Williams.
Lois graduated from Grace High School in 1950, where she participated in the Glee Club, FHA, Drama Club, and Pep Club. After graduation, she moved to Idaho Falls. While living there, Lois worked for Mountain Bell for about a year, then for the LDS Hospital administration and the Hatch Clinic office. On September 18, 1954, she married Richard James Beers, and together they had three children.
While raising her children, Lois was actively involved in her community. She volunteered with the Red Cross Emergency Blood Donor Organization, served as Easter Seal Drive chairman and Easter Seal treasurer for Bonneville County, was a Cub Scout leader, and volunteered with the Riverview Hospital Auxiliary. After her children were grown, Lois returned to work at Riverview Hospital for several years and later worked as a medical assistant in several doctors’ offices over the next 10 years.
After her husband Richard passed away in 2007, Lois moved to Boise in 2009 to be closer to most of her family. In 2020, she moved into Revel Independent Living, and in 2023, she moved to Grace Assisted Living.
Lois was incredibly social and friendly, and she was loved by everyone at both Revel and Grace, where she spent her later years. She enjoyed participating in many activities, especially Bingo with her fellow residents. She was kind to everyone, had a great sense of humor, and made all her friends feel valued.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathi (Michel) Bean of Idaho Falls; two sons, Rick (Robin) Beers of Ojai, California, and John (Cara) Beers of Boise, Idaho; six grandchildren, Elizabeth (James) Wood, Pamela Reece, Tracy (Kraig) Hansen, Robert (Bonnie) Beers, Maclain (Emily) Beers, and Jackson Beers; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Emily; her husband, Richard; her sisters, Alleen Williams, Fae Stoddard, Jean Nuttall, and Marilyn McBride; and her brothers, Harris, Blain, Grant, and Doug; and her grandson Christopher Michel.
