On a beautiful spring day in San Jose, CA, Lisa Louise Propst entered this world as a sweet and spirited angel. As Lisa grew, it became apparent she would require special care throughout her life, but this never dimmed her radiant spirit.

Lisa had a remarkable gift for spreading happiness. She delighted in giving heartfelt compliments and creating personalized cards, colorful pages, and drawings for friends and family. Nothing brought her more joy than seeing her artwork displayed in the homes of loved ones.

Intelligent and observant, Lisa possessed a wit that could elicit genuine laughter from those around her. Her kind heart and loving nature endeared her to all who knew her. While she could be feisty at times, Lisa was always a fighter, both in facing life’s challenges and standing up for what she believed was right. Her deep faith in her Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ was a constant source of strength and joy.

On August 29th, 2024, after a brief hospital stay, Lisa departed this world far too soon. She leaves behind a legacy of love and countless lives touched by her gentle spirit.

Lisa is survived by her mother, Mary; sisters Deanna Shurtleff (Rick) and Amy Strickling (Jon); brother Andrew (Shonda); nieces Kenna, Jesse, Kate, Lena, and Brooklyn; nephews Joshua, Dale, Benjamin, Drew, Wade, and Sam; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her devoted caregivers Katrina, Orreta, Marla, Alyssa, and Shelby. She was preceded in death by her father, Galen “Lee” Propst; sister, Denise Propst Curtis; and niece, Loren Curtis.

A graveside service to celebrate Lisa’s life will be held on September 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Dry Creek Cemetery.

Lisa’s zest for life, unwavering kindness, and ability to find joy in the simplest things will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
