Lindy Lee Reagan

Lindy Lee Reagan, 71, a resident of Boise, passed away April 18, 2022 in Seattle, Washington. She was born on June 7, 1950 to William and Marjory Winkle in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was the fourth of six children. She attended grade school in Cheyenne and moved with her family to Nampa, Idaho in 1963. She graduated from Nampa High School in 1968.  She attended Boise State College for a year before going to work for Idaho First National Bank.

Lindy was introduced to Rexford Dwight Reagan by her soon-to-be sister-in-law, Judy Gammill, who lived across the street from her family in Nampa.  She was smitten, and they were married on September 5, 1971 at First United Presbyterian Church of Nampa, Idaho. She was a loving and devoted mother to their two daughters, Kimberly and Sarah.  While her children were in grade school, Lindy always held a job at their school as a teacher’s aide.  She loved working with children, and was always the leader of the Halloween parade, wearing a Christmas tree costume.  Later, she opened her own in-home daycare so that she could be home to care for her mother.  She delighted in getting to care for her oldest grandson, Calvin until he was five years old.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy.  She spent her entire life in loving service to her family.

She spent her years before retirement working for SODEXO at Boise Cascade.  She was fond of her job and her associations with co-workers and customers.  She retired in 2010.  Lindy and Rex enjoyed retirement, traveling and visiting with family, and were active in their church community at Southminster Presbyterian Church.  She was a steadfast member of Presbyterian Women and loved helping with their annual fundraisers.  Lindy and Rex spent many lunch dates with the Sages, their retired friends from Southminster. She loved her faith and her church family with all her heart.  Lindy loved to sing.  She sang in the choir in High School, and was a member of the choir at her church and with the Boise Choristers. Music was a big part of her life and her worship. She was also actively involved in PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) Sisterhood, Jobs Daughters, and Eastern Star.  She loved her neighbors and friends in her neighborhood and enjoyed their Wednesday gatherings.  Rex and Lindy just celebrated their 50 th Wedding anniversary in September of 2021 .  Their legacy of love and faithfulness is a treasure to their children and grandchildren.

Lindy was preceded in death by her parents William and Marjory Winkle and her great-grandson, Milo.

She is survived by her husband Rexford Reagan, her brothers Andy Winkle (Helen), Larry Winkle (Marianne), and Don Winkle (Glenna), and her sisters Cathy Clifford (Dwayne) and Cindy Olson (Darrell), her daughters Kimberly (Adam) Fuhriman and Sarah Reagan, grandchildren Calvin (Allison) Fuhriman, Destenee Fuhriman, Thomas Fuhriman and Isabel Fuhriman, and great-grandchildren Millie Fuhriman and Rhett Fuhriman.

She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
