Lilly Samantha McGann (15) slipped the surly bonds of this earth abruptly on the afternoon of March 12th, 2024, with a decision made on her own that will profoundly affect all those who loved her dearly. Lilly will be remembered for all time by the one’s she touched.

Lilly was born June 24th, 2008 to Amy N. McGann and Brian J. McGann in Meridian Idaho. When she arrived in this world, she was so long that we had to spell her name with three L’s. She was 21 inches and over 9lb.

Shortly after Lilly was born, her family moved to a bigger home as she needed a room of her own. Life went along and Lilly grew, then in 2011 when Lilly was three, she and her family moved to Texas. Lilly really enjoyed Texas and even picked up a little drawl. She attended the elementary school by our home. Lilly always got A-B honor roll as she was super intelligent.

In 2018 Lilly and family moved back to Idaho and lived with Grandma Barb. Lilly loved the horses at the ranch! Feeding, grooming and riding. She did get bucked off a couple of times but always got back on the horse!

Now in Boise, she attended Lewis and Clark Middle School and again had fine grades even with covid lockdowns. For her high school career Lilly really didn’t want to go to the normal route and instead entered a lottery for a medical school called Meridian Medical Arts Charter High School. MMACHS, Lilly had aspirations to be a doctor or surgeon!

In her shining lifetime she visited Six Flags, the Alamo, took the ferry to Port Aransas, visited Yellowstone and Hawaii. By the age of 10, Lilly had been in or through five different states, by 14 it went up to 8 with a trip to Oregon and Hawaii.

Lilly loved drawing and made thousands of great sketches. She was also a child of the internet age and played a lot of Roblox and pokémon and made online friends on all types of social media! Lilly was the main caretaker of all the family’s cats and had two white rats and then two large Guinea pigs. Lilly also volunteered her time at the Idaho Humane society. She had the kindest soul and was so empathetic!

Lilly was preceded in death by her grandmother Sandra Lenz, her grandfather Jess Daniel, her great grandmother Elene Bonine, great grandmother Wilma Lenz and great grandfather Al Lenz. Lilly is survived by her mother, Amy, father Brian and brothers, Hunter and Zackary. Her grandparents Barbara and Jim, and grandparents Patrick and Jeanne. Lilly has lots of extended family she could unfortunately never meet and friends we could not meet.

We love and miss you Lilly Pie! 💕

May your soul rest in peace 🕊️
