Ridenour, Lawrence Dale, LD, age 73, formerly of Boise, Idaho passed away Monday, October 16,2023. He was born in Boise, Idaho October 13,1950.

LD was a graduate of Mountain Home High School in 1968 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Boise State University in 1980. Following his degree, LD held multiple accounting positions, including with Safeway, Mrs. Field’s, Simplot, Swiss Village Cheese, and the Idaho State Tax Commission. At a point in his career, he taught accounting for Boise State University and did volunteer income tax assistance. After retirement he still assisted many families and friends with their taxes.

LD was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, an active member in the El Korah Shrine Elk Lodge #2, held multiple electoral offices as a Sand Duner, and was a 32 nd degree KC Court of Honor member in the Scottish Rights of Idaho Foundation. LD was a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend. It was no secret that LD bled Blue and Orange. You would find him entertaining tailgate parties for BSU football games screaming “That’s another Boise State First Down”, along with spending countless hours creating Christmas CD’s for family and friends. He had a passion for music, hunting, ballooning, and enjoyed spending time up in Cascade, Idaho at the family cabin.

LD is survived by his mother Gloria Ridenour, sister Cyndi Adams, brother Kevin Ridenour, daughter Adele Ridenour, daughter Shawn Ridenour, granddaughters Salina, Sarah, and Eloise, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by son Richard Wayne Ridenour and father Lornie Ridenour.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Scottish Rights Foundation located at 1407 Bannock Street, Boise, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shriner’s Hospital and the Scottish Rite Foundation of Idaho.
