Larry was born on July 18, 1943 in Clinton, Illinois to James Irvin Ammann & Leta Morgan Ammann, who preceded him in death. His parents moved to Mexico, Missouri to farm when he was just a youngster. Later they moved back to Illinois, where he developed his love for horses. He graduated in 1961 from Flora High School. He met the love of his life Connie in April of 1965 in Clinton, Illinois, (on the square) they were married on September 5, 1965. Larry was drafted into the U.S. Army that same year and left for boot camp December 5 th . In February 1966, he went to Ft. Sill Oklahoma for advanced artillery training with the 1 st Battalion 40 th Artillery, B Battery. Connie then joined him until he left for Vietnam on September 17, 1966, returning September of 1967 to his wife and 4 month old daughter, Stacey. Larry and Connie moved back to Oklahoma in 1968 and a few months later their son Stephen was born. They soon moved back to Illinois and Larry continued his plumbing journey, which started in Oklahoma. He then spent the next 50 years dedicating his work to the Lord and serving others while sharing his faith with everyone he met. They lived in Illinois until 1994, when they moved to Washington. In 2012 they moved to Nampa Idaho to be near their grandchildren. He retired in 2021, much to his dismay. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and instilled the love of the outdoors with his son and grandsons, they were the pride and joy of his life. He lived a life dedicated to his God, his family, his country, and his friends. He loved deeply and was deeply loved, as is evident by the outpouring of love and support the family has received.
