Larry D. Crist, 88, of Boise, passed away June 13, 2024. Larry was born on March 15, 1936, at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho to parents Clarence and Laura (Morgan).
Larry was raised on the east end of Boise and went to Boise public schools. He spent his junior school year with his sister Pat and her family in Socorro, New Mexico. He then joined the Army in November of 1955, was honorably discharged December 1958. Larry learned meat cutting as a trade when he returned home.
He met Phyllis, his wife to be, on May 4, 1959, in Quinn’s Lounge in Boise, Idaho, the first bar Phyllis had ever been in. The two started dating the following day and were married April 29, 1960. The couple recently celebrated their 64 th wedding anniversary.
Larry loved fishing, camping, playing music, tying flies, building fly rods, taking pictures, and building frames for the pictures.
He and Phyllis have three children, Lori Richard, Douglas Crist and Tesa Morrow: six grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Larry was much loved and will be much missed.
A memorial service will be held, 10:00 am, Friday, June 21, 2024, at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City, Idaho.
