Larry Ray Calhoun, 82, of Kuna, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025, with his children at his side.
Larry was born September 1, 1943, to Raymond and Alma Calhoun. He grew up in Kuna alongside his siblings and graduated from Kuna High School in 1961. From an early age, Larry developed a strong work ethic and values that would guide him throughout his life.
He began his career as a plant manager for Simplot Soil Builders in Grandview, Idaho, where he worked for many years. Later, he built and ran his own spray service business, showing his willingness to work hard and take on new challenges. He had a keen eye for capturing the beauty in everyday life and took pride in sharing his photos with those around him. He also loved the freedom of the open road and spent many hours riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, a hobby that brought him great joy and a sense of adventure.
Larry is survived by his sister, Beverly Peterson of Meridian, Idaho; his brother, Kenneth (Sandi) Calhoun of Meridian, Idaho; and his three children: Craig (Sue) Calhoun of Kuna, Idaho; Becky (Drew) Plimpton of Washoe Valley, Nevada; and Lorri (Bill) Saunders of Kennewick, Washington.
