Lane Warren Jolliffe passed away at 86 years old on August 7th at 5:45pm in the presence of his family.

Lane was born May 16th, 1937 to Hattie Mae and Warren Jolliffe. He was preceded in death by his sister Karen Gara, his brother Lyman Jolliffe, his sons Todd Jolliffe and Stewart Jolliffe.

Lane leaves behind his wife, JoAnne Jolliffe; his sisters, Marlys Daugherity and Barbara Cunningham, his daughter-in-law Carrie Jolliffe, his granddaughter Jaime and her husband Logwone Mitz and their two children, Ljay and Beasley; his son-in-law Alfred Niewenhuis; his grandson Josh Jolliffe and his wife Lori; Lane’s son and daughter-in-law Justin and Jennifer Jolliffe and their five children, Sean, Matt, Corey, Nate and Kailee Jolliffe. Lane also leaves behind numerous other dearly loved family and friends.

At the age of 16, Lane’s parents signed his emancipation papers in order to join the US Navy. He served 4 years with an honorable discharge.

Upon his return home in 1957 he met and married his wife, JoAnne. Lane and JoAnne were married 66 years, had 3 amazing boys and seven wonderful grandchildren. They owned the Fairway Inn when they moved to Boise. Lane loved Snowmobiling and enjoyed many adventures. Lane was also the president of the Idaho State Snowmobile Association for a period of time.

Lane enjoyed a long fulfilling career at the Idaho Department of Agriculture and gained many lifelong friends.

There will be a private ceremony at the Veterans Cemetery.

All friends and family are invited to a gathering at the Jolliffe home at 5415 West Bloom St. on Thursday August 24th from 3:00 to 4:30 pm.
