Kirk Baptista
Kirk Douglas Baptista was born in San Jose, California, on December 21, 1967, and passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, in Middleton, Idaho, surrounded by family. Kirk was 57 years old.
During his youth, Kirk was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and after being baptized he served a mission for the Church in Oklahoma. Upon returning home from his mission, he fell for the love of his life, Michele. They were married and sealed together for eternity in the Oakland, California temple on January 4, 1992. Kirk and Michele went on to have four wonderful children: Sarah, Suzy, Jack, and Rachel.
Kirk worked most of his professional career in information technology and never stopped learning, earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees later in life. As a faithful member of the Church, Kirk served as a primary teacher, Sunday school teacher, Boy Scout Master, and as a counselor in the elders quorum presidency and the bishopric. When Kirk had free time, you would catch him watching his favorite superhero movies, listening to ’90s country, trying a new hobby, or tinkering in the garage.
Kirk was preceded in death by his parents, Domingos and Patricia Louise Baptista. His most precious titles in life were husband, father, grandpa, and disciple of Christ. Kirk is survived by his wife Michele; his daughters, Sarah, Suzy, and Rachel; his son, Jack; his grandchildren, Greyson and Scarlett; his sisters, Denise and Tammy; his mother-in-law Pat and father-in-law Roger. Kirk is also survived by many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
