Kimberly Kay Asche, 51, passed away peacefully at her home in Eagle, Idaho, on March 10, 2026, with her husband, Steve; her sons, Jacob and Noah; and her sister, Karyn, and brother‑in‑law, Ron, by her side, offering comfort and love in her final moments. A godly woman and a devoted servant of the Lord, Kim lived her life with a quiet, steadfast faith that shaped every act of love, generosity, and care she offered. A woman of immense heart and artistic spirit, she spent her life proving that a true “castle” is built not of stone, but of love, resourcefulness, and unwavering devotion to the people she cherished.
Born on April 3, 1974, in Corona, California, Kim was the daughter of Richard Lee Reynolds and Pamela Kay (Sprague) Reynolds. From an early age, she carried a deep appreciation for family—a value that would become the foundation of her life.
In 1996, she married her soulmate and life partner, Steven LaRue Asche. Shortly after their wedding, the couple moved to Idaho in search of a fresh start and a place to grow. Though she always wished for more time in California—close to her mom and dad, her sister’s family, and her brother, Chad—Idaho became Kim’s “comfort place,” the sanctuary where she built her home, raised her family, and poured her creativity into every corner.
Kim was the embodiment of a nurturer. As a devoted homemaker, she was an extraordinary mother to her sons, Jacob and Noah. Her maternal love extended far beyond her own children; she and Steve opened their home to many children through the state foster care program, offering safety, stability, and compassion to those who needed it most.
Her strength shone brightest in 2010, when Steve was diagnosed with kidney failure. Throughout that difficult chapter, Kim became his “ultimate caregiver” and the steady heart of the Asche family. Her resilience allowed their household to remain warm, hopeful, and whole even in the face of uncertainty. After Steve’s successful transplant, the couple channeled their shared perseverance into a creative business, crafting home interior signs featuring inspirational messages and family crests—art that reflected Kim’s belief in the sanctity and symbolism of home.
Kim possessed a rare gift for transformation. Living on a modest income never limited her; her creativity and resourcefulness transformed their home into a place of warmth and beauty. She had a legendary ability to turn a simple house into a magnificent “castle,” not through extravagance, but through intention, imagination, and love. Visitors never saw modest means; they saw warmth, comfort, and the unmistakable touch of someone who understood how to make a space feel like home.
Kim is survived by her devoted husband, Steven Asche of Eagle, Idaho, and her sons, Jacob and Noah Asche, along with Jacob’s wife, Corina, and Noah’s fiancée, Audrey.
She is also survived by her dear mother, Pamela Reynolds; her sister, Karyn, and husband, Chris Cipolla, and their children, Austin and Alyssa Cipolla; and her brother, Chad Reynolds.
Kim leaves behind her parents‑in‑law, Ronald Asche and Frances Asche; her brothers‑in‑law, Monte and Ron; and her sister‑in‑law, Michelle. Her memory will also be cherished by several nieces and nephews from both sides of the family, all of whom she loved fiercely. She led them with the spirit of God and with unwavering honesty.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lee Reynolds.
