Kim Susan Fisk, 67, of Boise, ID, passed away on May 11, 2024, after a long illness. She is survived by her brother, Michael Galea; her children, Eric (Lindsey) Nichols and Kristine Reinhardt; her grandchildren, Isla and Owen Nichols.
Kim was born on August 31, 1956, in Burlingame, CA, to Joseph and Helen Galea. She graduated from Marian A. Peterson High School in ’74 and embarked on a career in San Francisco at Wang Laboratories. An avid lover of the outdoors, Kim discovered her passion for scuba diving, which is how she met her first husband, Kevin, who was her scuba dive instructor.
Driven by a desire for a more serene lifestyle, Kim relocated to Boise, Idaho, and later to Council, Idaho, where she raised her children and eventually married Alan Fisk. For 20 years, she dedicated herself to Hughes River Expeditions, where she formed lasting bonds with Jerry and Carole Hughes, and served as a motherly figure to many guides.
Kim’s children were her greatest joy, and she selflessly prioritized their happiness above all else. She was their unwavering cheerleader, encouraging them to embrace new experiences fearlessly.
Kim’s warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Memorial services will be held at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise Idaho on May 21, 2024, 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Idaho Humane Society.
