Kenneth D. Huey, 71, of Boise, ID, passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2023, surrounded by his family. Ken was born to Ralph and Carol Huey on September 15, 1951 in Oakland, California. He was raised in Hayward, California, graduated from San Lorenzo High School, and was a commercial trailer mechanic by trade. Ken was a sports fanatic who loved his family, his friends, and the Raiders. Ken is survived by his wife, Denise Huey (Asbury), daughter Kimberly Hoffmann and son-in-law Greg, son Matthew Huey, son Alan Huey and daughter-in-law Camas, grandchildren Tony Garcia, Emily Hoffmann, Alex Hoffmann, great-granddaughter Zia Rae Garcia, brother Robert Huey, sister Janice Torres (Huey), and many nieces and nephews. Ken had a big heart, a great sense of humor, and never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Ken’s Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at O’Michaels pub, 2433 N Bogus Basin Rd., Boise. Wear your sport colors!
