Kayla Ann Liehe
June 24, 1982 – March 21, 2025

Kayla Ann Liehe, 42, of Boise, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 24, 1982, in Burley, Idaho, Kayla was the beloved daughter of Linda (James) MacIsaac and Marty Runyon. She was raised in Boise by James and Linda, where she built a lifetime of cherished memories. A proud graduate of Capital High School’s Class of 2000, Kayla went on to earn her degree in Economics from Boise State University.

On August 25, 2007, Kayla married the love of her life, Bob Liehe. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their daughter, Elizabeth, and her stepson, Ben. In January, Kayla’s heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her beloved granddaughter, Evalyn.

For 13 years, Kayla worked at Friendship Celebration Lutheran Church, where she formed deep connections with her coworkers and the congregation. She found joy in serving her community and touched countless lives with her kindness and unwavering faith.

Kayla had an incredible zest for life and an abundance of creativity. She loved to crochet, decorate her home for every season, and cook delicious meals for family and friends. Her infectious laugh, beautiful dimples, and perfectly timed eye rolls will never be forgotten.

Kayla’s memory will live on in the warmth of campfires in Cascade, the peaceful reflections at Skein Lake, and the changing colors of the Tamaracks.

A celebration of Kayla’s life will be held at Friendship Celebration Lutheran Church, 765 E. Chinden Blvd., in Boise on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Wish Granters, Inc., whose generosity gifted Kayla and her family an unforgettable trip to Green Bay, Wisconsin. https://www.wishgranters.org/make-gift-today/
