Kathryn (Katy) Park, 80, long-time resident of Rochester, MN passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024 in Boise, Idaho.
Katy was born in St. Paul, MN on December 24, 1943 and moved to Rochester with her family in 1971. Katy worked her way up the ranks in the Rochester hotel and hospitality industry and eventually served as General Manager of the Midway Motor Lodge. She had a successful career in hotel management and was actively involved with the Rochester Hotel Association and the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce.
After her retirement from the hotel industry, Katy enjoyed many years working in furniture sales for Harnack’s Furniture, which aligned with her passion for home décor.
Katy is preceded in death by her father Kenneth and mother Elizabeth and by her beloved Wheaton Terrier Henry.
Katy is survived by her son Bill (Teri); son Tim (Stacey); son Michael; daughter Laura (Nathan); brother Todd; sister Buffy; brother Ken (Kim); six grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be planned for a future date.
