On September 3, 2025, Justin Michael Davis from Star, Idaho, sadly passed away at the age of twenty years.
Justin was born on November 21, 2004, in Salt Lake City to Kathy Mae Upshaw. Justin was later adopted on September 16, 2008, by his grandmother, Charlotte Ann Johnson. Justin and his brother, Tyler, lived with their grandmother in Meridian, Idaho, until they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2013. Justin and his brother Tyler, moved back to Idaho and lived with their uncle James and their two cousins, Aidan and Connor.
Justin was a very active little boy, full of life and always on the go. He would often tease his older brother, Tyler, but loved him dearly. Justin loved everyone around him and would go out of his way to comfort and help others. He loved to climb trees, go camping, hiking, swimming, ride bicycles, and ride motorcycles. Justin had a passion for writing rap music. He loved rapping about his hardships/life, his hometown, and his friends and family.
Justin was a hard worker and would paint up to 65 hours a week. He was also a Machine Operator on construction sites. Justin tested high on his Army placement test and was accepted into the Army Special Forces. Justin was looking forward to serving his country.
Justin is survived by his mother, Kathy Mae Upshaw; his grandmother, Charlotte Ann Johnson; his sister Elizabeth Ann Davis; his brother Colton Lavey Davis; his sister-in-law Esther Jensen; his brother Tyler James Davis; his sister Jessica Lynn Riojas; his brother Dylon Davis, his uncle James Ardell Upshaw, and his two cousins Aidan Upshaw and Connor Upshaw. He was also survived by his close friends, who he considered family: Nicholas Anthony Guajardo, Paul Angel Guajardo, Pennelope Hope Guardo, Desiree Marie Alanix, Xavier Maestas, Hollie Dean, Floydinto Maestas, and Dakota Maestas.
Funeral services will be held September 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 790 South Haskett Street, Mountain Home, Idaho 83647.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
