While raising their family she also worked at Paper and Telephone Co.  In 1963 they moved to Carmel Valley where they continued to raise their family, staying until retirement in 1990.

There are many family memories of summer camping trips, special family gatherings at Carmel & Avila Beach vacations. She was a great cook, making it look so easy putting together a delicious feast for large family gatherings.  Family was very precious to her and she loved all coming together and she prayed her family would continue to stay close.

Allene had traveled to all 50 States, Canada, European cruise, All the Hawaiian Islands and Paris. They found a new church family in Sedona and both became involved. They had a long happy marriage until her sweet husband, a Christian man passed away in 2000 from ALS. Their love and devotion to each other for 54 years, remains an inspiration to their family.
