Juanita Kay Maes
July 30, 1946 – February 1, 2025
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Juanita Kay Maes, a cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, at Treasure Valley Life Care.
Juanita was born on July 30, 1946, in Washington State. She spent her life surrounded by love, and her greatest joy was being with her family. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, always eager to spend time with her loved ones and share in their joys.
She had a passion for gardening, especially growing tomatoes. Juanita also enjoyed relaxing with crossword puzzles and watching murder mystery shows, finding both enjoyment and challenge in the stories they told. Her love for wind chimes brought her comfort, and she enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, like going to the farmer’s market and people-watching at the fair.
One of her favorite activities was gathering for weekend dinners with her son and his family, where laughter and love were abundant. She valued these moments and the connection they brought to her family.
Juanita’s kind heart, loving nature, and infectious smile will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her family and all who were touched by her warmth and generosity.
She is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, and a host of family and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
