Joylene E. Ream, 75, of Boise passed away March 4th, 2026. She was born March 1st, 1951, with her twin sister Darlene Easter Gillespie. She was born Joylene Eunice Gillespie in Shurz, Nevada mineral country. Joy and Dolly were adopted by their two loving parents Rosalie Dalton and Gilbert Bryan Gillespie. They first lived in Hazen, Nevada, on an 80 acre ranch owned and ran by their father. Their parents instilled a hard working attitude and love of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Later in 1960, they moved to Sacramento, off of Madison Avenue, where they attended high-school and college.
In 1973, Joylene was called to serve on a mission in the northern part of France for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She learned how to speak French and returned home after 18 months.
After her mission, Joylene studied Nursing and pediatrics, caring for some disabled children and helping them with care. She regards this as one of the best times of her life. In 1995, she married and moved to Colorado, where she and her sister adopted four children. Joylene spent her life devoted to her family and children. Working many hours day or night to help provide food and shelter and even a bit more for her children's happiness. She taught them hard working ethics and to help others in need even if you need help yourself. Joylene then became a caregiver at an elderly assistant facility where she cared for elderly and alzheimers patients for over 20 years. In 2025, she was diagnosed with liver sarcoma or cancer of the liver. Joylene is survived by her son and daughter: Monique Alexis Ream and Isaiah Bryan Ream. Monique's fiance Dallyn Butters, Monique's children/Joy's first grandchildren; Alaina Clifton and Josiah Clifton, and finally Lillian Buttars born just before she passed. Isaiah's wife Angela Ream, and their children/Joylene's second pair of grandchildren; Ariston Rider, Evangel Ream, and Eisen Ream who was also born just before she passed. God rest her soul. May she be at peace. Joylene was deeply loved and won't be forgotten.
