Joyce Jeanette Voshell (Tiahrt), age 101, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, in Boise, Idaho. She was born on November 1, 1924, in Aberdeen, Idaho.

Joyce was the daughter of Henry C. Tiahrt and Nettie Elizabeth Tiahrt (Wedel). She grew up on a farm near Aberdeen, where she learned the values of hard work, faith, and family that guided her throughout her life.

She attended primary and secondary school in Aberdeen and later went on to attend secretarial college in Salt Lake City, Utah. Joyce began her professional career working as a secretary in Salt Lake City before moving to Pocatello, Idaho, where she worked for several years with an accounting firm. She later relocated to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she spent 30 years working for a CPA firm. While living in Idaho Falls, Joyce met Jack Galen Voshell,

whom she married in August of 1954.

Joyce lived a full and active life and had a deep love for the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, snow skiing, riding trail bikes, bowling, and playing cards. She took great

pride in her flower garden and dearly loved her dogs. Joyce was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was an active member for over 60 years.

She is survived by her children Stanley Voshell and Stephen Voshell (Sandy Voshell Ward); 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Betty Lou Tiahrt, Valera Maich (Tiahrt), and Kenneth Tiahrt; her beloved husband Jack Galen Voshell; her daughter Cheryl Voshell; her daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Voshell (Johnson); and two grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at Taylor Cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
