Joyce Irene Everman, 86, of Meridian, died Monday, Mar.3, 2025 of pancreatic cancer, which she was diagnosed just a month ago.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Mar. 12, at the Meridian First Baptist Church ~ 428 W. Pine Ave. in Meridian.  Pastor Bobby Truax will officiate.  Interment will follow at the Meridian Cemetery.  A lunch will follow at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Chapel.

Joyce was born Sept. 3, 1938 in Nampa to parents Glenn and Irene Reed.  She grew up in a farmhouse in Meridian right off of Fairview Rd., attended schools in Meridian, and graduated from Meridian High School in 1956.  Joyce Irene Reed married Vernon Russell Everman on April 11, 1957 in Elko, Nevada.  In 1958, the Evermans moved to a home in Meridian and began raising their family.

Joyce was a native Meridianite and loved the Meridian area.  She had attended the Meridian First Baptist Church and was currently attending the Kuna Baptist Church.  Joyce loved the mountains and in her younger years was known to ride a 3 wheel motorcycle on forest trails.  She loved driving everywhere and traveling to visit her sister Glenna in Donnelly.  Joyce had many friends through her work as a teacher assistant at Meridian Middle School, and through church activities.  She loved going to Bible study on Tuesdays and playing cards on Wednesdays with her friends at the Frank's residence.  Joyce loved her family, grandkids, and great grandkids and enjoyed watching their sporting events through the years.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Irene Reed, her brother Harry, her beloved husband Vernon and many additional relatives.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberley, sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan and Lisa, Dave and Kym, Jason and Crystal, eight grandchildren Zachary, Shaina, Trevor (Jessica), Shelbey, Hannah, Jude, Tate, and  Cade, as well as three great-grandchildren, Kellen, Kennedy, and Carter, her  sister, Glenna Hunt and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was loved by so many family members and friends.  She is already greatly missed.
