Joyce Elaine Carringer (93) passed away peacefully on July 30, 2020. She was born December 31, 1926 to Braz Lee and Alene Kyle in Meridian, Idaho. She married Herbert Link on July 2, 1943. Herb was killed in World War II in Germany. Joyce then married William Glenn Carringer (Doug) on June 10, 1948. They were married for 61 years until he passed in December 2009. They had three children, Mark, Glenda and Janna. They lived for a short time in Emmett, Idaho. Then moved to North 14th in Boise where they resided and raised their children. They went to the Cathedral of the Rockies Church, until moving to WillowPark Estates in Garden City in 1994.
Joyce worked for Bairds Dry Cleaners off and on for 20 years. She took a few years off to raise her children. Joyce may not have graduated High School, but she was very smart and witty. She loved to be in her garden and grow beautiful flowers.
Joyce loved bowling. They went to many National Mixed Championships Bowling Tournaments in different states with friends. She was on two or three leagues at a time through her many years of bowling. She was an avid Bronco Fan watching Boise State University (BSU) sport s. She would play Gin Rummy, pinochle and listened to music. She loved her pinochle games, especially volunteering to be the organizer for the Monday night pinochle games at WillowPark for 25 years.
In August of 2018 and 2019, she was the oldest senior to have bowled in the Idaho State Senior Games Bowling events. Receiving the Gold Medals for both years. She was blessed with many friends throughout her lifetime, with many more friends in WillowPark. She enjoyed the many get togethers at Potlucks and other events with family and friends. Joyce touched many hearts in her 93 years of her life. She was a loving and caring individual who always unselfishly helped others when needed. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Joyce is survived by four sisters Norma Lee Priel, Barbara (Don) Lowry, Bonnie Fredriksen, and Francis Kyle; three children Mark (Kali) Carringer, Glenda (Lynn) Hawkins, Janna (Jerry) Beauclair. She particularly cherished her six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herbert Link and Doug Carringer, her sisters Della Kyle and Marguerite Toll, her brother Dick Kyle, grandson Jerry Jr. Beauclair, nephews Michael Kyle and Kevin Fr edriksen, niece Diane Lowry.

A celebration of Joyce’s life may be planned after the coronavirus restrictions are lifted and it is again safe to meet with family and friends.
