Joy Ann Tilton

Joy Ann Tilton passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at the age of 88.

She met her final days with peace and anticipation, looking forward to being reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Marion Tilton; her brother, Wayne Gregory; and her parents, who preceded her in death.

Joy faced life's challenges with practical wisdom, quiet confidence, and a calm spirit that reassured those around her.

She was a gifted quilter who delighted in selecting fabrics and creating beautiful quilts that will bring warmth and comfort to many for years to come.

Joy loved music. Whether singing with others or humming around the house, music was a constant companion throughout her life.

Children always held a special place in Joy's heart. After retiring, she served as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem (GAL), advocating for vulnerable children and giving them a voice within the legal system. It was work that reflected both her compassion and her unwavering sense of responsibility.

Joy is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Julene and Jerry, Lori and Allen, Christine and Nick, and Jeanene and Kelly; her grandchildren and extended family; and her siblings, Carol Langrehr, Elaine Trout, and Jay Gregory.

A celebration of Joy's life will be held on July 23, 2027. The time and location will be announced by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Liberté Ministries in support of the orphanage in Haiti that Joy faithfully supported. Through her generosity, a boat was completed to safely transport orphaned children to and from school—a lasting legacy of her love for children.
