Jon Evan Overton

Jon Evan Overton, beloved Husband, Son, Brother and Friend, returned to his heavenly Father and loved ones on Thursday September 25, 2025.

Jon was born on June 26, 1985, in Dothan Alabama to Gary Overton and Kathy Overton. Jon was raised in a military family, eventually settling in Meridian, ID, along with his Sister Jennifer Taylor, and his Brother Ryan Overton.

Jon met his Wife, Carmen Baca (Overton) in 2012, and were later married on September 3, 2021, in Boise, Idaho. Although Jon never had children, his love for his dogs was truly unconditional, and a reflection of his kind and nurturing heart. He shared a deep and unweaving love for Bugs, Remington, Biscuits, and Merle, who brought him immense joy and companionship.

Jon graduated from the college of Western Idaho on April 20, 2023. Upon graduation Jon became a certified Electrician, a dream he had for many years. Jon was best known for his hard work, dedication, and his willingness to lend a hand and share his knowledge with anyone in need.

Jon was a devoted Husband, Son, Brother, and Friend, who loved spending time with his family and friends, whether in person or on the phone. Jon loved watching Football, cheering for Boise State on Saturday and his beloved Eagles on Sunday.

Jon is survived by his Wife Carmen Overton of 13 years.

Jon is proceeded in Death by his Parents, Sister, Brother, and all that called him “Friend”
