JoLou Bennett
Our beloved JoLou Bennett was born December 1, 1955, in Cascade, Idaho, and passed May 25, 2024, in Boise, Idaho.
JoLou graduated from Cascade High School in 1973, a year early because she could not wait to move to the “Big City” of Boise and attend college at Boise State University. In High School, not only was she the boys’ basketball team’s statistician, she also had the very prestigious job as the popcorn girl at the Roxy Theatre.
Being beautiful from the day JoLou was born brought her an award for the prettiest baby in Idaho when she was six months old. She loved fashion and makeup, always looking beautiful with the latest trends, even teaching her little sister and friends how to do their makeup.
JoLou worked as a Medical Assistant for most of her adult working career. Later in life she found her love for waitressing. All the staff at Le Peep, Eddie’s, the customers, loved her bright charm and kindness.
One of JoLou’s favorite pastimes was hosting holiday dinners, parties, and Sunday dinners. She was a wonderful cook. She will always be known for her melt in your mouth orange rolls.
JoLou loved her family with all her heart, and her grandson Finley was the apple of her eye. She also had a special love for music that was unmatched. The Rolling Stones was her all time favorite group, and she was lucky enough to see them live, seven times.
JoLou is survived by her children Dallas Domy (Alex), Adam Dinwiddie (Bekka), Katie Ryder (Jeremy), sister, Marylin Poznick (John), 5 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Woody and Nivena Bean, sister, Suzette Burris, and son, Eric Logan.
Your family and friends will miss you deeply, JoLou, and you will always be in our hearts.
In remembrance of JoLou’s life, there will be a service held at 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City. In honor of her love for rock and roll music, the family encourages attendees to wear their favorite band shirt to her service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
