Boise

John was born on April 14, 1972, in Auburn, WA.  He died on November 13, 2025, due to illness.

He spent his childhood in Montpelier, ID, where he graduated from BearLlake High School.  He attended the University of Utah, Boise State University, and then joined the Navy, where he obtained funding for his college at the College of Oceanography.  He then spent time being a deep-sea diver.  Later he would become an electrician journeyman working for the local union.  He did this until his death.

John enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially snow skiing, disc golf, and gaming.  He loved to play Texas cribbage and chess.  He was especially talented in all and very competitive.

He was loved by his friends and was known as loyal person.  Most people enjoyed John, but sometimes he could be quite cantankerous and then everyone scattered!

He is survived by his mother, Judith Nate and sister, Jacque Nate, aunt Laura and uncle Paul, and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred K Nate and brother Charlie Nate, as well as grandparents Ferris and Verona Nate and John and Ruby Etcheverry.
