JoAnn Aivles (Van Hoff) passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 6 th at her home surrounded by loved ones. JoAnn was born on November 26 th , 1960 in Iowa to Parents Harris and Mary. JoAnn was one of 8 children and a twin to John. JoAnn moved to Idaho in 1988.
JoAnn, a vivacious 63-year-old Boise resident who lived life with boundless joy and a free spirit. As a devoted mother, caring CNA, and loving sister, she touched the lives of those around her. Known for her happy-go-lucky demeanor, she approached each day as a new adventure, embodying the spirit of a risk-taker and embracing challenges with a smile.
JoAnn had a compassionate heart, evident in her role as a caregiver and her love for animals. Her home was a haven for any wayward soul whether it be a person or an animal. An avid adventurer, she played by her own rules, savoring the thrill of exploration.
A board game enthusiast and soda aficionado, JoAnn brought people together with her infectious laughter and warmth. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she leaves behind a legacy of selfless giving. As a sweet lover, she found joy in the simple pleasures, reminding us all to appreciate life’s sweetness.
Though she has departed, JoAnn will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and the indomitable spirit of embracing every moment.
JoAnn is survived by her children, Junior, Tommy, Robert, and Rachel. Her grandchildren, Damian, Jacob, Jesse, Ace, Isis, and Nicholas. Her siblings Fern, Kathy, Ella, and Margret.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, life partner Melvin (Babe) and her brothers, Mike, John, and Raymond, her grandson Raiden and her beloved dog Molly.
