Jerry Dan Willoughby, 87, of Eagle, Idaho, formerly of, Kimberly, Idaho passed away July 19, 2025.
Jerry was born January 20, 1938, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, while his mom, dad and sister were visiting family. He grew up on a farm south of Kimberly, Idaho, hunting pheasants, fishing and helping his dad farm.
He was an athlete in High School playing football, basketball and pole vaulting. After graduation he moved to Shoshone to work at the railroad where he met numerous movie stars heading to Sun Valley. One of his favorite stories is when he threw Lucille Ball's suitcase on the luggage cart and it fell off and scattered her clothes all over the train platform.
He met the love of his life, Marie, in Shoshone and they married March 1959 and were married for 64 years until Marie's death in 2023.
Jerry worked in the dairy industry starting at Home Dairies in Twin Falls ID and ending his career at Associated Dairies in Boise, Idaho.
He enjoyed golfing, painting, gardening and woodworking but his greatest love was his family. He was never happier than getting together with all his kids and grand kids and having a glass or two of Kirkland Malbec wine.
We always said dad was the best girl’s dad but that's not correct, he would have been a great dad to anyone, but we were just lucky he was ours.
Jerry is survived by daughters Pam (Kurt) Mcclenny and Kim (Mike) Winkle. Grandchildren Scott (Ashley) Mcclenny, Steve McClenny, Taylor (Joe) Dlugosch and Keegan (Lauren) Winkle, Seven great grandchildren with one due any-day and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Wilsie, sister Janet, wife Marie and numerous brother and sister in-laws.
