Jeffery Jay Darland

Jeffery Jay Darland was born on February 25, 1959, in Nampa, Idaho to Charles and Betty Darland. He arrived on the exact day that he was supposed to and out weighed his three siblings by ½ an ounce.

He grew up in the Meridian area and attended all three Meridian Schools. His dad owned a tire shop in Caldwell and both Jeff and his brother Tim were soon doing odd jobs there when not in school. Once out of school he went to work for Fleetwood Industries in Nampa. In 1985, he transferred to Ontario, California with that company.

After working in California for many years, he moved back to the Treasure Valley and went to work for Guerdon Industries. While employed there, he met Suzanne Carpentier and they became partners for the rest of his life.

In 2001 Jeff and Suzanne moved to Elk City, Idaho where he was employed by the Forest Service and later with Advanced Metal Fabrication.

After a long battle with cancer, Jeff passed away on September 25, 2026 while in hospice care.

He leaves behind his partner Suzanne Carpentier, his mother Betty Harris, his brother Tim Darland (Bonnie), his sister Jennifer Farrar (Jay), his brother-in-law Tye Zahm, daughter Tiffany Inabnit (Shane), two stepchildren Heather Siefkes (Brian), Zach Carpentier (Kami), nine grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad Charles Darland, his stepfather John Harris, his sister LuAnn Zahm, his nephew Tyler Acree and his maternal grandparents.

At his request no services will be held. An invitation only reception will be held at a later date.
