Jana Lee Morgan , 62, of Boise, Idaho, passed away on Wednesday March 5, 2025, at home surrounded by her husband, Terry and kids Nicholas and Katie. Born on March 24, 1962, in Downey, Idaho, she was a devoted wife and mother and a kind-hearted friend to many.
Jana led a life full of adventure, some of her biggest trips were to Boston, MA, Nashville, TN, The Hoover Dam, The Grand Canyon, and the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She also got to take her grandbabies to Yellow Stone National Park where they saw the “stink pots” and “dragon poop (bison poop)”. She was also a homebody and loved spending time at home with her family. During the spring and summer, you could always catch her outside sitting in a chair in the sun. She loved to plant a garden and flowers all around the yard. Jana was always big into crafts, but over the last year she really took a big interest in getting back into making cards and teaching her granddaughter, Whitlee, the ropes. She was an avid animal lover and always had animals in the house and never said no if her kids brought one home unannounced. Jana loved her family and friends fiercely and was one to always put other’s needs above hers. She also had a sense of humor that not a lot of people knew about.
She cherished her marriage to Terry; they have been married for 32 years and together for 40 years. A true partnership that a lot of people looked up to. She loved her kids Nicholas and Katie. One of Jana’s proudest moments in life was when her two grandbabies were born: Whitlee and Briggs. She loved those kids more than life itself. She worked in several different positions in the medical field over the years and spent 20 years at Idaho Urologic Institute, where she retired from in November 2024.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Morgan, her children, Nicholas Wilson and Katie Watson (David Watson); her grandbabies Whitlee and Briggs Watson, her mother, Joylene Hyde, her brothers; Rodney Hyde and John Hyde. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and an amazing group of friends.
She is reunited in peace with her father, Russell Hyde, her sister, Brenda Landon, her nephew, Brett Landon, and her grandparents.
A special thank you to her amazing hospice care team; her primary nurse Katie, social workers Lauren and Samantha, her bath aid Patti, and to the others who helped care for her.
A celebration of Jana’s life will be held at Center at the Park in Kleiner Park from 1-3 P.M. in Meridian, Idaho on Saturday March 29, 2025.
