Jack Aaron Creechley Jr

Mar 8, 1955 — Jul 12, 2026

Boise

Jack Aaron Creechley Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Boise on July 12, 2026. He was born on March 8, 1955, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Jack V. Creechley Sr. and Dixie Alice Rhea.

Jack grew up in Las Vegas and later Salt Lake City, Utah. In June of 1975, at a company party while working for Chicago Bridge and Iron he met the love of his life, Catherine Diane Baker at Lagoon. Jack and Cathy were married a few months later, on September 18, 1975, a day he would always say was the best day of his life. His love and devotion to Cathy never wavered and remained steadfast until his very last day.

Together they built a beautiful family. Their first daughter, Shauna, was born in 1976, followed by Jennifer (Jennie) in 1977, and Jessica in 1980. Jack adored his girls and cherished every moment he spent with his 4 grandchildren Liam, Rowan, Waylon, and Betty.

Jack worked alongside his father and brothers in the family tile business. A true master of his trade, his work took him all over the country. He took tremendous pride in a job well done, and chances are you've walked across some of his craftsmanship—possibly even in a Walmart, restaurant or local Mall. Jack could spend all night crunching numbers in his head, negotiate with anyone in the room, and then turn around and put in a full day's work. He loved sharing stories about the many miles he traveled and the projects he completed throughout his career. He was so passionate about his trade that he taught two of his daughters the business as well.

Jack had a wonderful sense of humor and was an avid music fan. He enjoyed making people laugh and was always quick with a joke. His family never doubted his fierce, unconditional love and devotion. Jack was also known for his unforgettable lectures and one-liners, many of which his family will hear in their heads forever.

Jack also taught his daughters lessons that went far beyond the workplace. He believed in hard work, honesty, integrity, respect, gratitude, and compassion. He reminded his family often to never forget where they came from because the most valuable things in life cannot be bought or sold. Family always came first, although Jack was quick to point out that family wasn't always defined by blood.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents Jack & Dixie, his older brother Richard, and nephew Scott.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy; his daughters, Shauna (Javier Russell), Jennie Creechley, and Jessica (Shaun) Fitzgerald; and his cherished grandchildren, Liam, Rowan, Waylon, and Betty. He is also survived by siblings Sandy Creechley, Chris (Newt) Redenbo, Stan Creechley, & Dick (Nancy) Creechley along with numerous nieces and nephews.

His greatest legacy is the love he gave to his wife, daughters, grandchildren, family, and friends Jack leaves behind countless memories, and the enduring example of a life well lived through hard work, loyalty, humor, and love. He fought hard for the people he cared about and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

If Jack has his way, he'll be waiting on a beach somewhere, wearing an aloha shirt, enjoying a margarita, eating shrimp, and saving us a seat until we all get there. He’s not gone, he’s just scouting ahead.

The family would like to thank everyone for the love, support, and kindness shown during this difficult time. It has meant more than words can express. We invite you to join us in celebrating Jack's life, at Kristen Armstrong Municipal Park in Boise, August 9th at 2pm for a celebration of Jack’s life
