This feisty force of nature has left us at the age of 90, as she wished. As we say goodbye, there is comfort to be found in the many fond and funny memories we have of her. Particularly her green thumb, her dogs and that savvy sense of fashion. She loved her family immensely and will be missed so very much. Born in Speyer, Germany, she had 7 brothers and 1 sister. She married Lenny Stroup and moved with her 3 children, Ingo, William and Patricia, to the US in about 1965. Through the years, Hildegard provided daycare for many children. She is survived by one brother, her children and cherished grandchildren, Jesse, AJ, Tylene and Hailey, and great-grandchildren Rustin, Hudson, Avery, Stanley, Gage, Chase and Luke. They were truly the light of her life these past few years. There will be a private family gathering to give her a warm send-off.
