Helen G. “Hellion” Wolfe passed away on October 1, 2023. She was born in Nampa, Idaho, on August 1, 1926, to Ross and Clara Berry. She was an only child and grew up in Nampa.

She met Harold “Tuffy” Wolfe when they were teenagers. They were married in 1945 and lived together for the next 67 years until Tuffy passed away.

They had three children: Lynda Benson, Gary Wolfe, Pam (Dee) Ingram. They have 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. These family members were the joy of her life, right up to her last days.

Helen loved to play cards. She taught many of her grandchildren to play various games including Rummy, Solitaire, Gin, and Cribbage. But most important to her was her bridge club in which she played two times per month from 1961 until the year 2020. She was a founding member of that club.

Garden Valley and Lake Havasu were special places for her and Tuffy for many years. They had years of enjoyment with family and friends in both places. Mom was an avid traveler, having been to many US states and monuments. She often commented on the adventures she and Tuffy went on. She also travelled to Germany twice to visit her grandchildren. She dragged Tuffy along for the ride on the second trip. Much to his surprise, it was the trip of a lifetime, sharing a great new adventure with the love of his life.

During her long lifetime she held numerous jobs which included telegrapher, switchboard operator, and jewelry engraver, but her longest enduring job was as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was quick witted and eager to parry verbal jabs with anyone who was up to the task, which will be sorely missed by everyone who experienced it.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
