Helen Alice Cobler (Nortman)

It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Cobler at the age of 80 in Boise, Idaho, on Saturday, September 27, 2025. She was born on 8-2-1945 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Angeline & Delbert Nortman. 

Helen married the love of her life Jimmie Cobler in 1966 and together they built a life full of love, family, and cherished memories. She will be remembered for her love of bowling, special holiday traditions, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Boise State University football teams, and spending time gathering and playing cards with loved ones. 

She is survived by her children Curtis, Brett, and Teresa; her sisters Hope, Harriet, Hazel and her grandchildren Cody, Christopher, Courtney, Heather, Jill, Jana, Wesley, Dylan, Cory, Collin, and Katie; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, and many other loving relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Angeline and Delbert, her husband Jimmie, and her sister Holly.  

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate the life of Helen on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Bowman Funeral Chapel, 10254 W Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City, Idaho. All those who loved Helen or were impacted by Helen are welcome to attend.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
