Hazel Diane Brown
Hazel Diane (Bayes) Brown, of New Plymouth, ID passed peacefully away in Ontario, Oregon, on September 6, 2024, surrounded by family.
She was born August 10, 1951 to Lester and Elizabeth Bayes of New Plymouth. She attended school in New Plymouth, graduating from New Plymouth High School in 1969. She met her soulmate Blaine Brown of Payette, Idaho that summer, and were married Nov 29th 1969.
She worked in many capacities in her communities, including helping at-risk youth, but her crowning achievement was being a wife and mother. She raised 8 children to love God, respect others, put in an honest day’s work, and speak up for what they believe in.
She is survived by: Husband, Blaine Brown, Steve (Amy) Brown, Annette Severy Brown, James Brown, Jerry (Leslie) Brown, Christy (Mike) Tayler, Paul (Lisa) Brown, Holly (Ed) Dillon, David (Keesha) Brown, 35 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers. She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, one brother, and one grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 521 S. Plymouth Ave in New Plymouth, with visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery in New Plymouth.
