Hannah Lynn Landis

Hannah Lynn Landis passed away on July 5, 2023 in Eagle, Idaho at the age of 23, after a difficult battle with cancer.

Hannah was born on August 4, 1999 in Boise, Idaho. Hannah’s childhood was one marked by the will to save every animal, the determination to be independent, and the ability to love others without restraint. Hannah was inspired to pursue a career in civil and environmental rights. After graduating from MVHS in 2017, Hannah went on to attend the University of Idaho, majoring in international studies to become an attorney.

Hannah adored all things nature and could frequently be found hiking or or saving a lost dog. She loved being a sister to her wonderful brothers most of all. Hannah fought for human rights by donating, advocating, and marching. Hannah truly believed in community, service to that community, and connecting to others through time well spent. Hannah believed our world could be improved if everyone simply dedicated a little bit of their time towards the common good.

Hannah was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Uncle Jere, paternal grandma Grace, Aunt Autumn, Prince, and Bob Marley. She is survived by Tara & Travis Bandy (mother), Brandon & Angela Grant (father), Tristen Grant (brother), Xander & Taylor Bandy (brothers), 4 aunts, 7 uncles, and too many to count cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, we are requesting donations be made to any of the organizations Hannah advocated for: Sarcoma Foundation of America, Trevor Project, Planned Parenthood, Humane Society, and Women’s & Children’s Alliance.

A celebration of life will be held on August 4, 2023 at 5:00pm at Kathryn Alberston’s Rookery (1001 S. Americana Blvd, Boise, Idaho).  Very informal and casual with comfortable outdoor clothing suggested.  No food or drink per park policy but water will be made available. This will be a time to share the fun and joy of Hannah’s life.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
