Gregg Paul Durand, age 61, passed away peacefully on February 13th, 2024, at his home in Meridian, ID, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 18th, 1962, in Southbridge, MA to the late Paul Arthur and Mary Ann Durand. Soon after, they moved to Long Beach, CA, where he attended Long Beach Poly High School then Long Beach City College. He finished at Cal State North Ridge and had an Apprenticeship at IBEW. He then met and married, his forever sweetheart, Jill (Cushman) Durand on June 20th, 1987, at St. Barnabas Catholic Church. In the following years, they moved to Corona, CA and had three beautiful children. Gregg became involved with his church family at Olive Branch Community Church, where he was an elder and active member. In 2004, Gregg and Jill relocated the family to Meridian, ID for a better quality of life.
Gregg was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, known for his big personality, generosity and strength. He had a passion for Jesus, his family, sports (especially the Rams and Dodgers), golfing and camping with friends and family. His enthusiasm was infectious to all who knew him. Gregg’s successful career of 26 years with the IBEW afforded him the opportunity to retire at 48 years old. He then was able to enjoy his time and take vacations with his family. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with cancer, too young in life, and fought a courageous fight for the last 6 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Jill (Cushman) Durand; his children, Meredith (Benjamin Sievers), Andrew (Taylor Durand) and Sarah; and his grandchildren, Logan, Everly, Oliver and Cameryn. He is also survived by his brothers Paul and Dan Durand.  He is proceeded in death by his mother Mary Ann Iozzo Durand, his father Paul Arthur Durand, his brother Peter Durand and his grandson Declan Sievers.
Gregg will be forever remembered for his, warmth, generosity, deep love for the Lord and unwavering love for his family. His passing has left an incredibly deep hole, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held, 2:00 pm., Friday, February 23, 2024 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City.
