Govind S. Naicker

Govind Samy Naicker, born on February 25, 1933, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, in Boise, Idaho. He was 92 years old.

Govind's life was marked by deep devotion to his family, a love for community, and a steadfast faith.

Born in Fiji Islands he eventually made his home in Idaho, where he became a cherished presence among those who knew him.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jiva Naicker; his only daughter, Rose Housley; and his son-in-law, Mark Housley. Govind was a proud grandfather to Chad and Seth Housley, whose lives were enriched by his warmth and guidance. He also leaves behind his sister, Marianna Prasad.

Govind found great joy in simple pleasures-spending time with family and friends brought him immense happiness. He had a passion for gardening and cooking, often sharing the fruits of his labor with loved ones. His faith played a central role in his life; he was an active attendee of Calvary Chapel Star, where he found spiritual nourishment and fellowship.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him. 

 Celebration of Life gathering will be held on August 7, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Calvary Chapel Star 200 N Seneca Springs Way in Star.
