George Tim Hope passed away on 13th of January, 2024 in Star at the age of 80. Born in Boise, ID on November 7th, 1943 . His journey through life was marked with adventure, dedication to family, service and education leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Tim’s life began in Emmett ID where he had a treasury of memories and friendships that lasted a lifetime, His stories became a cherished part of the family. He graduated from Emmett High School in 1962 and having a passion for knowledge it led him to further his education at Boise JR College,Idaho State University, followed by advance studies at Southern Illinois University and Portland State. His academic pursuits were a reflection of his lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth. Tim served in the Army and Army National Guard , his military life a period in life that instilled a sense of duty and respect for our country. Professionally, his career included positions at esteemed companies such as Idaho Power, Boise Cascade and Simplot. However it was teaching that Tim found his true calling, imparting wisdom and nurturing the potential within each of his students and inspiring the next generation.
He was a great fisherman and traveler. He found solace in the rivers and adventure in his travels and sharing these passions with friends and family. The Wilson River was one of his favorite fishing spots.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Connie, to whom he was married for 32 wonderful years. Their love story is one of mutual respect, deep affection and unwavering partnership, He was a father to three daughters, Paige, Megan and Ashlee and grandfather to nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a cherished member of a blended family that included Aaron Wilson, son in law, Christy McCambridge and Ryan McCambridge and seven more grandchildren and three great grandchildren .Also, Lillian Watkins, his sister. Preceding him in passing were his parents, Angus and Margaret Hope, brothers Ron and Terry and step daughter Debi Wilson. A Celebration of Life is being planned for March with details to follow, Tim will be remembered not only for the life he lived but also for the countless lives he enriched. His memory will be cherished and his presence deeply missed.
