George Thomas Sinclair Jr., born on April 13, 1940, in Haverford, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 23, 2025.
He graduated from Msgr Bonner High School and went on to attend Villanova University, where he earned a B.S. in Economics with a major in Accounting. He also completed two years of coursework in Mechanical Engineering.
He was a keen competitor in competitive shooting, starting in 1954. Over the years, he competed, taught and was an active member of the shooting community. Many of his friends and colleagues were part of this world. He was active in his local gun club from a teenager and was president of the Boise Pistol Club. He traveled all over America competing and shared these road trips with his family. His son grew up on a pistol range. During the years, he won many awards and donated much of his time and effort to help others. George served with distinction in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1969 as a Navigator–Electronic Warfare Officer on a senior B-52 combat crew. He was responsible for analyzing electronic signals for potential threats and defending against attacks, while also managing and maintaining onboard electronic warfare equipment. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain.
After his military service, George began a 25-year career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. As a Special Agent, he was permanently assigned to Cleveland, Washington, D.C., and Boise, Idaho. With his technical and accounting background, he received additional training in technical surveillance, firearms instruction, counterintelligence, narcotics, fraud investigation, and more. He worked extensively on high-profile investigations in cooperation with federal, state, and local agencies, and testified in court as an expert in firearms and technical surveillance. He retired from the FBI in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda, in 2017. He is survived by his second wife, Ruth, and his beloved son, George III.
George will be remembered for his disciplined mind, deep sense of duty, and lifelong commitment to public service.
