George Martin Grala 94, of Garden City, Idaho, loving husband of Dorothy, fond father of Jeff, Connie (Tom) and Kathy, dear grandfather of Eric and Mark, great grandfather of Adaline, brother-in-law of Evelyn Grala and Elizabeth Van Drisse and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. After graduation from Holy Trinity High School he entered the Marine Corps. In 1954 he married Dorothy in Chicago. George loved fishing, bowling, golf, road trips and working in the garden. He lived in several places over the years from Illinois to Wisconsin, Arizona, New Hampshire, Nevada, and Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Bernice Grala, his brother Ben Grala, son-in-law John Colletti, and brother-in-law Everett Van Drisse. George will be greatly missed.
We extend a special thanks for the care he received from the staff at First Choice Hospice and Cascadia of Boise.
A funeral mass will be held, 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2612 W. State St., Boise, with a viewing beginning at 10:30 am.
A committal service will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd.,Boise.
