Gayle Jean Hagler, 85 of Meridian, Idaho, passed away on November 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 4, 1940 in Nampa, Idaho to Harold and Helen Floyd.
Gayle grew up in Marsing and graduated from Marsing High School. She married the love of her life, Al Hagler, on May 24, 1963, in Winnemucca, Nevada. Together they made their home in Caldwell, Boise, Idaho Falls, and Meridian, Idaho.
Gayle enjoyed her patio time, watching BSU football, reading, walks, talking on the phone, TV Game shows, and wine with friends on Thursdays. Gayle cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Her favorite part of the day was when she would hear “Hi Grandma” as family would come by to visit.
Gayle’s special times in her last years were sitting with her husband Al of 62 years enjoying a glass of wine, laughing with her daughters, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters in Depoe Bay, OR, and watching her son, sons-in-law, and grandsons work around the house and make her breakfast.
Our mom was raised on the family farm learning hard work at an early age, never complained, and was always there for you if she agreed with you or not. She had strong faith, warm heart, and unwavering dedication to her family. Gayle enjoyed 30+ years working for PoJo’s giving her infectious smile if you were lucky, “Let me clue ya” .
She is survived by her husband, Al Hagler; her children Mary Dubois, of Meridian; Janet Westlake of Boise, Bryan Hagler (Amber) of Meridian, and Wendy Everett (Chuck) of Ormond Beach, Florida, Sister, Shirley Gibbens (Dan), Caldwell, Idaho, as well as 15 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
