She loved music, travel, outdoors and loved spending time with friends and family. She had a vivacious appetite for coffee, M&M’s, and cheesecake! She had a wonderful sense of humor and always saw the best in everyone and everything. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2018, survived but then shortly after she fell ill with brain cancer 2020 and the fight was on. She cared for the health of others including friends whom had suffered through cancer and other illnesses and cared for family when they were struggling and in time of need, it was an honor to help her fight. She was in pain daily and she refused to let it get her down. Cancer took a big part of her independence and yet still loved life and wanted to be here with her loved ones. She made such and impression on any one who came in to contact with her. Gayla had the strongest will to live and it was seen through the struggles of her illness until she passed.
