At 6:01 PM on 26 December, Gary Hite died peacefully in the home of his sister Melanie on 7th Street in Boise’s North End.

He spent his last days in the company of those who love him, listening to his favorite music:

Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Bob Dylan, Buddy Guy, Leo Kottke…  He was not alone.

In life he was kind to all who knew him.  He was endlessly generous.  He was a man of conscience, compassion, and character.
