Garold (Gary) Lang Burningham,85, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026 at Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Nampa, ID. Born to Ralph Day Burningham and Salina (Ruth) Cromar Burningham in Salt Lake City, Utah, on July 3, 1941.
Gary was a member of the United States Army, serving in Korea during the Viet Nam War era. He returned to Idaho and worked for Guerdon Industries for 35 years as a forklift operator. He married Connie Dee Dilworth February 2, 1974. They were later divorced.
Gary was known for his calm demeanor and unwavering loyalty. He was a quiet soul whose gentle presence made a lasting impression. He lived a life defined by kindness, steady support, and dedication to his family. He enjoyed hanging out at home and found pleasure in simple things like shopping and having dinner with his son and watching TV. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelli Lynn Burningham Craigie.
He leaves behind his loving son Geoffrey Garold Burningham, granddaughter Cheyanna Nicole Burningham, ex-wife Connie Burningham, great grandchildren Alec, Abigail, Sophia, and Autumn, brother Ralph (Gail) Burningham, of Utah and sister Byrnina Louise Hoagland of Rexburg.
A committal service with military honors will be held at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Boise, ID on August 11, 2026 at 10:00AM. Friends and family are invited join in sharing memories following the service at 2156 W. Chateau Dr., Meridian, ID.
