Obituary for Felix Lugeiyamu
Felix Lugeiyamu was born at Mary Greeley Medical Center on Wednesday, April 7, 1993, at 11 AM, in Ames, Iowa, to proud Elizabeth and Joel Felix. He was a bouncing baby boy weighing 9.7 lbs.
Felix was a loving son and brother whose life was marked by warmth, creativity, and a joyful spirit. He cherished his family deeply and shared close bonds with his mother, Elizabeth; his father, Joel; his elder sister, Beatrice; and his younger brother, Oliver.
Felix started his high school journey at Fruitland High School where he was identified as a gifted student in mathematics. He was one of the students chosen to represent the school in the national program, MATHCOUNTS. He continued his high school journey at Eagle High School where he played in the Varsity Basketball Team. He also had a love for sports, especially basketball, that began in his youth and continued throughout his high school years in the Varsity Basketball team; reflecting his teamwork spirit, dedication, and vibrant energy.
He loved music and expressed his musical talents by proficiently playing several instruments including violin and saxophone. Throughout high school, he was a member of the Marching Band. He graduated from Eagle High School in 2011. Following high school, he enrolled at the University of Oregon, continuing his educational journey and broadening his experiences.
Felix had a deep passion for music in all its aspects. He loved composing, producing and writing music. He found joy in expressing himself through sound and creativity. Before leaving this earth, he had produced and officially released several music tracks under his stage name “Young Fee” on different platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, iHeart, and YouTube. He had many more lined up for official release.
Felix was very loyal and deeply valued his friends and family. Felix had a friendly and outgoing spirit. He was a kind-hearted individual who could not stand people looking down on others regardless of their social status. His memory will live on in the lives he touched and the love he shared.
Felix went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 in Boise, Idaho. May his soul rest in eternal peace, we pray. He is survived by his parents, Elizabeth and Joel, his sister, Beatrice, and his brother, Oliver; all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts forever. He will be missed!
