Ezra "Buck" L. Moore Jr.

Ezra Luke “Buck” Moore Jr., 63, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away on September 8, 2026.

Buck was born on May 1, 1963, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Ezra Moore Sr. and Alice (Wade) Moore.

Buck was truly one of a kind—a great storyteller with a quick sense of humor and a heart big enough to give generously, even when he had little to give.

He was a man of his word, a survivor, and someone who lived life fully and on his own terms, with few apologies. He was genuine to the core. Buck could be deeply loving and tender, while also being one tough man who didn’t always let the world see his softer side.

Buck enjoyed fishing, but perhaps even more meaningful to him was helping people in need. His willingness to lend a hand and give what he could was simply part of who he was. Whether through his generosity, his humor, or simply being there when someone needed him, Buck had a way of leaving a lasting impression on those around him.

Even at the end, when his great heart finally grew tired and stopped beating, the love and generosity he carried with him never did.

Buck is survived by his loving wife, Gabriela Moore, along with many other family members and friends who will miss him terribly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra Moore Sr. and Alice Moore.

Buck leaves behind memories that will make us laugh, stories that will be told again and again, and a presence that simply cannot be replaced. He lived his life his way, and he made sure we knew exactly who he was.

And in true Buck fashion, he always had the perfect answer:

“God don’t want me, and hell is afraid I’ll take over!”

Rest easy, my love. You lived, you loved, you laughed—and you left your mark.
